About the Coach
Turkish coach Muhsin Ertuğral was born on 15 September 1959 in İstanbul, Türkiye. He holds a UEFA Pro coaching licence and has built one of the most internationally experienced coaching careers among Turkish coaches, working across Africa, Europe and Türkiye.
Ertuğral began his international managerial career with Zaire in 1995 and later worked as an assistant coach at Trabzonspor. In 1999, he took charge of Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa, beginning a highly successful relationship with the Johannesburg club. During his first spell, he guided Kaizer Chiefs to four trophies, including the African Cup Winners' Cup in 2001. Ertuğral also enjoyed a successful period with Ajax Cape Town. In the 2006–2007 season, he led Ajax to the ABSA Cup title and received the Coach of the Season award. In January 2025, Ertuğral joined Cape Town City FC as Technical Director and also served as head coach.
