About the Coach

Turkish coach Ersun Yanal: Born in İzmir on 17 December 1961, Ersun Yanal has built a long coaching career in Turkish football. Known for his attacking approach and tactical style, he has managed several major Süper Lig clubs as well as the Türkiye national team.

Yanal achieved the biggest title of his coaching career with Fenerbahçe in the 2013–2014 season, leading the club to the Süper Lig championship. It was his first Süper Lig title as a head coach.

In 2014, he was also named Turkish Manager of the Year following his successful championship season with Fenerbahçe.
