Okan Buruk is a Turkish coach and the manager of Galatasaray, a Süper Lig team. Due to his successes as both a player and a manager, he is considered one of the most influential figures in Turkish football in the 21st century. With 5 Süper Lig titles as a manager, Okan Buruk holds the record for most championships with a total of 12 victories. He also holds the record for the longest single stint at Galatasaray. His first managerial role was with Akhisar Belediyespor, where he won the Turkish Cup. In the 2019-20 season, he led İstanbul Başakşehir to their first ever Süper Lig championship.
