Turkish head coach Yılmaz Vural: One of the most experienced coaches in Turkish football, Yılmaz Vural has managed more than 30 clubs during a coaching career that began in 1986. Known for his long experience in Turkish football, he has worked with numerous clubs across the Süper Lig and lower divisions, including Malatyaspor, Bursaspor, Trabzonspor, Antalyaspor, Kasımpaşa, Elazığspor, Adana Demirspor and many others.

About the Coach

Turkish coach Yılmaz Vural was born on 1 January 1953 in Adapazarı, Sakarya. After completing his football education in Türkiye and Germany, he began his professional coaching career with Malatyaspor in 1986. Since then, he has worked with more than 30 clubs across the Turkish football system.

Vural has managed many prominent Turkish clubs, including Malatyaspor, Antalyaspor, Bursaspor, Trabzonspor, Gençlerbirliği, Konyaspor, Denizlispor, Adanaspor, MKE Ankaragücü, Antalyaspor, Kasımpaşa, Elazığspor, Adana Demirspor and Göztepe. His career has included several promotions to the top division and appearances in major domestic cup competitions.

He has been named Turkish Coach of the Year three times, achieved three promotions to the top division and reached the Türkiye Kupası final twice. He also won the TSYD Cup twice, the ASGD Cup twice and the Prime Ministry Cup three times. His teams also participated in the UEFA Cup, including Trabzonspor's 1997 European campaign.

Vural's most recent coaching position was at Sarıyerspor, where he took charge in September 2025. His spell ended on 8 October 2025, after which he became a free agent.
