Turkish head coach Ceylan Arıkan: A former footballer and experienced coach with a long career across Türkiye, the Netherlands, Qatar and Kyrgyzstan, Ceylan Arıkan has spent much of his coaching career with Abdysh-Ata Kant. He returned to the Kyrgyz club in June 2026 and currently serves as head coach. He previously guided Abdysh-Ata Kant to the 2022 Kyrgyzstan championship and the Kyrgyzstan Cup.

About the Coach

Turkish coach Ceylan Arıkan, whose full name is Abdurrahman Ceylan Arıkan, was born on 25 May 1971 in Sivas, Türkiye. He holds Turkish and Dutch citizenship and holds an AFC Pro License. Transfermarkt lists his preferred formation as 4-4-2 Diamond.

Arıkan began his coaching career with Sparta Rotterdam Youth, where he worked from 1998 to 2001. He later served as an assistant coach with Qatar U19 between 2002 and 2003 before taking charge of Abdysh-Ata Kant in Kyrgyzstan in 2009.

During his first spell with Abdysh-Ata Kant, Arıkan won the Kyrgyzstan Cup in 2009. He returned to the club in January 2021 and enjoyed the most successful period of his coaching career in 2022, guiding Abdysh-Ata Kant to the Kyrgyzstan championship and the Kyrgyzstan Cup. He was also named Kyrgyzstan's Coach of the Year in 2022.

After leaving Abdysh-Ata Kant in September 2023, Arıkan returned to the club on 3 June 2026. He is currently the head coach of Abdysh-Ata Kant in the Kyrgyzstan top division, continuing his long association with the club.
